Mueeny — Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-23 (GDPR & KVKK review)
The Arabic version is the reference; this is its translation. These terms are not legal advice; a review by a qualified professional is recommended.
By using Mueeny you agree to these terms.
1) Who we are
Mueeny is an app for memorising, revising and daily reading of the Qur'an, published by Mohamed Azizi. Contact: support@mueeny.com.
2) What the app does, and its limits
- Mueeny is a tool that helps memorisation and revision; it is not a substitute for a teacher or a recitation licence (ijāzah).
- Automatic mistake detection is a program's estimate and can be wrong — it may miss a mistake or flag a correct reading. Mistakes are shown as "possible", and you can listen to your recording and judge.
- The Qur'an text comes from verified sources (section 6) and is never altered. Please report any display error immediately.
3) Account
- The app works without an account. An account is optional and syncs your progress across devices.
- On the website an anonymous "guest account" is created automatically so your progress is kept; it moves to your account when you sign in.
- You are responsible for your sign-in method.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time in "My account".
4) Acceptable use
Not allowed: attempting to breach the app or its servers or to access others' data; manipulating points, levels or any system other than by normal use; using the app or its content in any way that disrespects the Qur'an.
5) Paid subscription
- Mueeny has a useful free version and a monthly and yearly subscription with extra features, described in the app before purchase.
- Purchase, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your store account settings. Refunds follow the store's policy. If there is a free trial, payment starts after it unless cancelled before it ends.
- Prices may vary by country; the correct price is shown in the store before purchase.
- Deleting your account in the app does not cancel your store subscription.
6) Content and rights
The Mushaf content comes from three sources, each under its own terms:
| Source | What comes from it |
|---|---|
| Quran Foundation | Mushaf text · page and line layout · page fonts (QCF V2) · translations and tafsir · and streaming of its reciters |
| Quranpedia | the Hafs text bundled in the app (so the Mushaf opens with no internet) · and the mutashabihat data |
| Quranic Universal Library (QUL) | the surah-header glyphs in the Mushaf font |
Their names, links and attribution are in "About".
- The voice and recordings of reciter Mohamed Azizi are his property; you may listen to them inside the app only and may not copy or redistribute them.
- Other reciters are streamed from Quran Foundation; their rights belong to their owners.
- The app's design, logo and texts belong to Mueeny.
7) Account suspension
We may suspend or delete an account that breaches section 4, after notifying its owner, except for serious breaches such as hacking. Suspension does not cancel a store subscription; refunds then follow the store's policy.
8) Limitation of liability
Mueeny is provided with care but "as is" to the extent permitted by law; it may occasionally stop or contain errors. We are not responsible for relying solely on automatic detection instead of a teacher.
9) Changes
We may update these terms and will notify you in the app of any significant change before it takes effect.
10) Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkiye, and the courts of Ankara have jurisdiction — without prejudice to your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence: if the law of your country grants you rights that cannot be waived, or gives its courts jurisdiction, those rights remain yours and these terms do not remove them.
